VCF streak unmatched around Europe
The current unbeaten run for Valencia CF stands at 16 games, a milestone not reached by the club in 77 years. Whilst that is impressive enough, it is also a streak that makes them unique in Europe at the moment.
No team in the ten main European leagues is on a similar run, which for VCF stretches back to January 22nd and a loss against Getafe in the Copa del Rey (a defeat they would avenge in the second leg of the tie).
Since then Valencia CF have taken 9 wins and 7 draws in all competitions, including reaching the Copa del Rey final and the UEFA Europa League quarterfinals.

The closest side to matching the streak are French team Stade de Reims, who have gone 15 consecutive games without defeat (8 wins and 7 draws). Behind them are FC Barcelona and Eintracht Frankfurt (14 games unbeaten) and Liverpool FC (13 ).
The next challenge for Valencia CF is a game at Mestalla on Wednesday (9:30 CEST) against Real Madrid.
